Welcome to the Rural Energy ProgramThe Rural Energy Program is a four year effort that builds on the success of the Georgia Energy Security Initiative. It is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development and implemented by Winrock International. Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. The program will increase the supply of grid and off-grid energy in rural areas, build local capacity for energy production, promote energy efficiency and use of alternative energy resources, and improve sustainable natural resource management. |
