The Energy Bus continues traveling around Georgia. From December 19, 2011 to February 10, 2012 the Energy Bus visited Lanchkhuti district in Guria and Kutaisi, Vani and Samtredia in Imereti Region.
 

In every visited district the Energy Bus offered the Energy Bus tours to adults and the schoolchildren, promotional materials and individual consultations on particular RE &EE application.
 

As a rule during visits the Energy Bus team arranges the trainings in schools of the visited villages and district centers to familiarize the children with RE &EE technologies, climate change issues and to invite to tour the Energy Bus. During the mentioned period the following trainings were conducted:

  • 3 trainings in Lanchkhuti district - 2 in Lanchkhuti schools and another in Supsa
  • 5 trainings - in schools of Kutaisi
  • 4 trainings - in Vani district
  • 3 trainings - in Samtredia district
     

During the trainings at school schoolchildren were encouraged to take part in the competitions for schoolchildren organized within the Energy Bus project.
 

During the stop in Lanchkhuti district and Samtredia the Energy Bus was visited by journalists from different local newspapers. All the journalists were toured through the Energy Bus Exhibition and handed over all the promotional materials available on the Energy Bus.

New Applied Technology Efficiency and Lighting Initiative (NATELI II) with the support of  USAID and implemented by Winrock International announces a call for proposals for shooting/production of a documentary and invites experienced directors/producing companies to the contest.

Energy Bus travelled to Khoni,Tskhaltubo, Zestaphoni & Bagdati districts in Imereti region from February 13 to March 8, 2012.

 

In frames of NATELI 2 Grants Program 20 applications have been selected for the next stage of consideration.

In the framework of NATELI II Energy Capacity Activity the project organized two seminars on Doctoral Programs in Energy and Electrical Engineering in the United States. The seminars were held on January 20, 2012 in Tbilisi at GTU and on January 25, 2012 in Kutaisi at Akaki Tsereteli State University.
