On November 12, 2011 TV program “Vakho Sanaia’s Coverage” was dedicated to energy efficiency topics and activities of the NATELI I project.
The Vakho Sanaia’s Coverage is aired every Saturday on Georgian Public Broadcaster’s channel First TV. The one-hour program deals with events and breaking news taking place in Georgia and worldwide and holds live discussions in the studio.

The first part of the program was dedicated to the essence and importance of energy efficiency, among them:

emphasis on energy efficiency in the post-Soviet period

environmental impact of energy efficient measures

Government policy and legal regulations with regard to energy efficiency

raising the awareness of the Georgian public on energy efficient/renewable energy solutions

activities of Winrock/NATELI I project promoting energy efficiency

problems and obstacles on the way towards energy efficiency

energy efficiency recommendations and energy saving tips for households

Energy Passport and Energy Audit

first energy efficient buildings

operation of energy bus

energy efficiency in Georgian hospitals

cooperation with Georgian Technical University

Sustainable Energy Action Plan in cooperation with Tbilisi Municipality

 

Invited guests in the studio - Ms. Inga Pkhaladze, NATELI Project COP, Mr. Gia Arabidze, Dean of Power Engineering and Telecommunications Faculty at GTU and expert Ms. Marina Shvangiradze discussed the activities of project NATELI in particular, and the benefits of energy efficiency in everyday life, as well as the environmental impact resulting from implementation of EE measures.

New Applied Technology Efficiency and Lighting Initiative (NATELI II) with the support of  USAID and implemented by Winrock International announces a call for proposals for shooting/production of a documentary and invites experienced directors/producing companies to the contest.

Energy Bus travelled to Khoni,Tskhaltubo, Zestaphoni & Bagdati districts in Imereti region from February 13 to March 8, 2012.

 

In frames of NATELI 2 Grants Program 20 applications have been selected for the next stage of consideration.

The Energy Bus continues traveling around Georgia. From December 19, 2011 to February 10, 2012 the Energy Bus visited Lanchkhuti district in Guria and Kutaisi, Vani and Samtredia in Imereti Region.

In the framework of NATELI II Energy Capacity Activity the project organized two seminars on Doctoral Programs in Energy and Electrical Engineering in the United States. The seminars were held on January 20, 2012 in Tbilisi at GTU and on January 25, 2012 in Kutaisi at Akaki Tsereteli State University.
